Academisation Development Consultation
Following the Archdiocese’s vision to strengthen Catholic education through larger, flourishing Catholic Multi-Academy Trusts, St Raphael the Archangel CMAT was established on 1 September 2026.
The next proposed phase is for Pope Francis Catholic MAC, Holy Cross Catholic MAC, Romero Catholic Academy and eleven Voluntary Aided schools to join St Raphael the Archangel CMAT on 1 September 2027. This consultation provides an opportunity for stakeholders to learn more about the proposal and share their views on the future of Catholic education across our communities.
As part of the process, we are now consulting the parents, parishes, and community of our schools for the period 4th September 2026 to 16th October 2026. See letter here which includes a form to send your comments.

Corpus Christi is a happy and caring Catholic primary school where the whole community work together to give our children the very best experiences and opportunities. Our school aims to create a Christian community, where the Gospel values are seen to be at work and where interaction is encouraged between home, school, parish and the wider international community. Offering provision for children from Nursery through to Year 6 we aim to nurture and cherish the uniqueness of every individual who enters our school as we guide and support them through their formative years.
Our hope is that all who are involved in our school feel the warmth of Christ’s presence as they are welcomed and valued as a member of our school family. We know that children learn best in a happy safe and secure environment where they are encouraged to achieve. Our dedicated and caring team of staff and governors want only the best for our school and we feel proud of all our school offers and achieves. We hope you enjoy using our new website. We have tried to capture every aspect of school life and produce an informative and visual experience of Corpus Christi School. From whether you are a prospective parents, have children already at the school, or are part of our local community we want you to be able to feel the warmth and care Corpus Christi has to offer and the varied and exciting curriculum our pupils enjoy. We will keep the website updated, with weekly postings and any essential information. Please do check in as we will post a variety of information and photos of the wonderful things our children do in school.
