Summer 2017

It has been some time since the PTFA wrote to you, so we thought it was time we updated you on our activities.

As you know, we run events throughout the year, such as the school disco, shops for Christmas, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, a Christmas Fayre as well as other ad-hoc events, and your response in supporting us in these events, this year, has been unprecedented and we wish to thank you for your support.

Because of the amazing support we receive from you, we have been able to donate a fantastic £2,500 towards the cost of the updated IT equipment in the school hall.

We hope that everyone will agree this was a worthwhile contribution and we look forward to enhanced viewing experiences for various school events that take place in the hall.

Garden Party

Looking forward to the last few weeks of term, the PTFA are organising an after-school Garden Party on Friday 7th July from 3-5pm, we are working hard to ensure that there will be plenty of fun games for families to enjoy.

There will be a BBQ and refreshments, with a bouncy castle and slide, games such as tin can alley, shoot the hoop, and lots more!  Whilst entry to the event is free, there will be a small charge for the various games (but there are prizes to be won!) and activities and food/refreshments, all funds raised will go directly to supporting worthwhile events to further enhance the children’s school experience and to the school itself.

Year 6 Leaver’s Ball

An exciting event is coming up…… the PTFA are proud to provide our Year 6 pupils with a leaver’s ball.  This will be held on Thursday 20th July in the school hall.  This is a free event for the year 6 pupils who will be leaving us to go on to their new schools.  It’s our way of saying goodbye and thank you to them, personally, for their support of the PTFA throughout their time at the school.  I hope you agree this is a really good cause and one which we can continue to support as children move through the school.

Even more people to thank!

We wish to extend a huge thank you to the teachers and all staff at the school, they take time out of their busy schedules to stay behind and support us in our events, without them, we would not be able to do what we do.

Come and join us!

The PTFA are still a relatively small group, and we welcome new members to come along and help in any way they can.  We realise that people cannot commit to helping at every event, but if you wish to come along and help at the occasional event or become a full-time member, this would be greatly appreciated.  Please speak to anyone who is on the PTFA for further details.

Corpus Christi's Got Talent 2017

This afternoon saw the final of Corpus Christ's Got Talent. All the children had been practicing hard so they could do their best performance in front of our very special judge Producer Paul from C&W Free Radio.

All the acts were wonderful, and kept everyone entertained all afternoon.
